Orbit-1 ("we", "our", "us") operates the Echo voice notes application and the orbit-1.com website. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed).
Voice Recordings: Audio files you record are stored in your personal, encrypted storage bucket. Only you can access your recordings.
Transcriptions: Text transcriptions of your recordings are stored in your personal database partition, protected by row-level security.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregate usage data (recording count, average duration) to improve the product. We never collect or analyze transcript content for analytics.
We use your information solely to provide and improve Echo. Specifically:
To transcribe your audio recordings using our speech-to-text provider (Deepgram). Audio is streamed in real-time and is not stored by Deepgram. To structure your transcripts using AI (Anthropic's Claude API) when you explicitly request it. Transcripts are sent only when you tap "Structure this note" and are not used for model training. To authenticate you and secure your account.
We implement industry-standard security measures including row-level security (RLS) ensuring users can only access their own data, encrypted storage for audio files with user-scoped access policies, JWT-based authentication, and HTTPS for all data transmission.
We use the following third-party services: Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Deepgram for real-time speech-to-text transcription; Anthropic (Claude API) for AI-powered note structuring; Railway for backend hosting.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual notes (including audio files) at any time. Account deletion removes all associated data permanently.
You have the right to access all your data, export your notes and recordings, delete individual notes or your entire account, and request information about how your data is processed.
